Merritt Island Rotary Club Scholarship Application
Award Amounts: Three (3) $1,000 ROTARY SCHOLARSHIPS will be awarded as follows: Applicants must be graduating seniors and will be selected from Merritt Island High School, Edgewood High School, and Merritt Island Christian School.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must have been accepted into a four-year, degree-granting program at an accredited college or university or a two-year program at an accredited junior college at the time of the award.
Qualification: To qualify the student should be:

a person with a broad range of interests encompassing a good academic record, participation in a variety of school activities, and involvement in community or charitable service;

an individual who has a knowledge of Rotary and has demonstrated a belief in the work ethic through work experience;

a self-motivated person who has established goals and objectives with the proven ability to meet or exceed those targets.
Requirements: Candidates must complete the application to confirm their eligibility qualifications, highlight the candidate's qualifications, discuss his or her educational and career goals in light of Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self', and describes why he or she should receive this scholarship. Candidates may be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Merritt Island Rotary Club.
Please include the following with your application:

Certified copy of your high school transcript.

Letters of recommendation from two teachers at your high school.

Evidence from your school Guidance Department indicating class rank.

A copy of your SAT/ACT scores.

Please enclose copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR).
Applications are due by February 28
Candidates for a ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP may be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Merritt Island Rotary Club.
