Welcome! My name is Pat Tash, I have had the honor and privilege of serving as president for the past three years at the Merritt Island Rotary Club.
Our club was founded in 1965. The club at present has 16 members and looking to increase to 25+ members to be within District 6930 requirements.
As a Rotarian we strive to live up to Rotary International's motto "Service Above Self" in all that we say and do.
Our fundraisers include:
Walk on Water Ministries - "Ye Old Fashion Hoedown" Walk on Water Ministries Mission is to provide a place where children with special needs, at risk individuals, veterans and their families can come to gain the health benefits of interacting with horses and other animals, developing responsibility through encouragement and healing through serving.
Hoedown: Food, Music, Dancing and Fun
Grade School Dictionary Program: We give dictionaries to grade school children.
Josh the Otter: The be safe around water program, created by the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation, was created to help children comprehend and remember the important message of "Stay away from water unless accompanied by an adult". The Merritt Island Rotary club shares this program and donates the books to all the elementary schools on Merritt Island.
We are a very busy club and would love for you to come and join us and do great things for our community.
